This week, Hollywood headed to the Rivera for the Cannes Festival. While the main focus of the festival is the films that have been created over the past couple of years and the stars who arrive on the red carpet, the festival also functions as a hub for business, with films being sold to distributors and actors finding new roles.

And even as Cannes marches on, there is still plenty happening Stateside. Even amid a strike, Grey’s Anatomy has its eyes toward season 20, and Deadpool 3 has reunited a few familiar faces.

I like that they fridged Morena Baccarin in DP1, but keep bringing her back (albeit in very minor doses). That photo of Barry K looks like the Flash.

You are likely thinking of DB2, and the “fridging” doesn’t stick. She actually has more screen time than some other supporting characters.

Yeah, Brad Pitt needs to have a word with his agent…Speaking of DP2, do we know what Yukio’s powers are? Or if she’s even a mutant?

        • mrsixx-av says:

I think they showed she’s a mutant with powers during that last fight? But if her whole role is “Hi Wade!” and being the happy to Negasonic’s moody, that actually is fine. Then again if they show her cheerfully wreaking havoc on the bad guys and saving the day, that would be cool too.

Yes, she is, in fact, a mutant. The issue is that it depends on which film she is in as to what her powers are. In The Wolverine, her power is the ability to predict someone’s death (I forget what the specifics are). In Deadpool she can manipulate electricity.

How the fuck is there 630 miles between Somerset and Dorset?

Weird that Ezra Miller is trying to throw people off their scent by changing their name to Barry, a character they played in a movie.

Hadn’t heard that, so googled it and came up with zero articles… where did you get that from?
