This was a pretty huge week for casting news. Glenn Close and Henry Winkler are working on a comedy together, Zach Cregger’s Weapons added Alden Ehrenreich, Benedict Wong, and more to its already stacked cast, and Missy Elliott joined Pharrell Williams’ still-untitled coming-of-age musical. Beyond that, films continue to vie for buyers out of the Cannes market later this month.

Hamish Linklater, Billy Magnussen and more join A Big Bold Beautiful Journey

The Big Bold Beautiful Journey cast just got bigger and more beautiful (hell, probably bolder, too) with the addition of Hamish Linklater, Billy Magnussen, Sarah Gadon, Brandon Perea, and Yuvi Hecht. Colin Farrell and Margot Robbie star in the Kogonada-directed film, which is described as an “imaginative tale of two strangers and the extraordinary emotional journey that connects them,” per .
