Are there any good stories about Stephan Jenkins?

It seems that whenever a fellow musician speaks of the Third Eye Blind singer, it’s about what a dick he is. In summer of 2019, Jimmy Eat World’s drummer, Zach Lind, alluded to how creepy the 3EB frontman was on tour, and of course, there’s our epic Hatesong interview with indie stalwart John Vanderslice, who has some very specific—and personal—reasons for despising the band’s 1997 mega-hit “Semi-Charmed Life.”

Max Collins of Eve 6 is the latest musician to jump(er) onto the Stephan Jenkins dogpile, tweeting what might be the most colorful story yet about Jenkins’ assholery:

At first, it sounds like the two alt-rock/half-rapping bards may have just been engaged in an innocent prank war. But Collins quickly clears up any ambiguity about his feelings toward Jenkins…

…while also admitting to being fascinated by him:

So, he’s still a fan. Get it?

Collins has words for plenty of other ‘90s titans, too, usually of the kinder variety. He describes Jakob Dylan of The Wallflowers as “super nice”, reveals that Everclear’s Art Alexakis is one of his best friends, and shares a sweet story about Chris Barron from Spin Doctors consoling him over breakfast after a breakup. There are cat photos.

And that’s to say nothing about pissing next to Fred Durst, crashing a festival set by Staind with his drunken antics, and musing on the gastrointestinal habits of Steve Harwell from Smash Mouth. At one point, Collins realizes he’s “writing the memoir of alternative rock mediocrity” in real time.

Most entertaining of all, he almost never refers to anyone or anything by their proper name. It’s always “Third Eye Blind guy,” “Sugar Ray guy,” or “singer with the tribal tats.” He even exclusively refers to his own hit as “Heart In A Blender song” rather than “Inside Out.”

Eve 6’s entire Twitter account is quickly becoming a trove of internet comedy, and you can check it out here.

Horrorscope is a legitimately good album.

  • harrydeanlearner-av says:

“Alternative Rock Mediocrity” is a perfect description of all those bands….Now if you need me I’ll be listening to…I dunno, Creed or Nickelback? Aren’t those guys the legit KINGS of alternative mediocrity or are they even shittier than that?

    • ducktopus-av says:

shittier…but I actually remember their names because they’re so bad whereas I don’t know if I’ve ever heard of “Eve 6″ or if I forgot…for a second I thought it was a Spike Lee movie

    • imdahman-av says:

*sigh* so I’m supposed to retroactively hate all the bands I listened to back in the day?

      • harrydeanlearner-av says:

Absolutely! If it makes you feel any better I thought Def Leppard’s High n Dry was the greatest album ever made, to say nothing of bands like Fastway and other embarrassing early 80’s metal.

        • idelaney-av says:

To be fair, Hysteria is one of the greatest albums ever made.(Look on Amazon Prime if you don’t believe me.)

          • harrydeanlearner-av says:

I fucking hate that album: the sound, the songs, the production…That was the point where I just grew to really, really dislike them moving forward. I felt glad Rick Allen could still play of course, but it was never as good (IMO)

          • idelaney-av says:

No kidding. High and Dry was good, Pyromania was amazing, but Hysteria was fucking lightning in a bottle. You may dislike Hysteria but you can’t deny the sales figures and the number of charting singles. Absolutely unheard of for a ‘rock’ or ‘metal’ album.

          • harrydeanlearner-av says:

I’d reverse that in that Hysteria is terrible, Pyromania is really good and High N Dry was amazing. But I’m one of those music snobs who doesn’t believe in commercial success: my example is I think the best album/s of the 80’s is The Replacements Let It Be and Tim and neither of those sold a fart in the wind compared to Hysteria.

          • grand-moff-fartin-av says:

High N Dry is Def Leppard’s best album, hands down.

          • ruefulcountenance-av says:

I just spent my last full day of work before Christmas listening to Let It Be and Tim back to back, and I couldn’t agree more.Do you find Pleased To Meet Me overproduced? I think Can’t Hardly Wait would be among their best work if it had that stripped down Let It Be production instead of all those extra bells and whistles.

          • harrydeanlearner-av says:

Oh my God YES. I can’t stand the version of Can’t Hardly Wait on the album. The bare bones version without the horns is WAY better. Shoot, “Alex Chilton” is a bit overproduced to me – I have a great live version of it where Westerberg yells out “Hi Grandma!” and I vastly prefer itI think Pleased To Meet Me is great, but it should have been much more raw. Sound wise I think their best sounding album is “Let It Be”

          • ruefulcountenance-av says:

I still really like Alex Chilton, but I do agree it could also have been stripped back a bit, but yeah, Can’t Hardly Wait without the horns every time please.I think the songs Westerberg wrote for the album were as good as they’d ever been, but it still lags behind the previous two albums for the reasons we’ve said.

          • harrydeanlearner-av says:

I’m a big Clash fan, and I remember on the “Westway to the World” doc where Joe Strummer laments getting rid of Topper Headon (drummer): when you have the right four guys, even if they can’t get along, there’s a magic you just can’t replicate. I always think about that in regards to Bob Stinson.

          • ruefulcountenance-av says:

Couldn’t agree more, mate. What in particular did Bob bring? Who can say. However he was definitely missed once he left. It’s funny you should bring up The Clash, because I’m actually named after one of them! I’m too young to have seen them, though I’ve been lucky enough to see Joe, Mick and Paul on separate occasions.

          • harrydeanlearner-av says:

I just missed them as a kid, although I have seen Joe and Mick. Never saw Paul which sucks because he was definitely the ‘coolest one’ in a band filled with cool guys. But yeah…Bob brought something to the table. I think it was the wildness that you can hear on some tracks and it just disappears after he’s gone. Then again, they were getting older and not playing hardcore clearly by that point. Did you read Trouble Boys about them? Top five rock bio I’ve ever read.

          • jmyoung123-av says:

Because it was no longer rock and Def Leppard were never metal. High and Dry was the high point quality wise

          • harrydeanlearner-av says:

You nailed exactly how I feel about Def Lep in general and High N Dry specifically.

          • jmyoung123-av says:

I assume this is a joke I am not getting.

        • jmyoung123-av says:

High and Dry still kicks ass!

      • weirdstalkersareweird-av says:

*sigh* so I’m supposed to retroactively hate all the bands I listened to back in the day? FUCK no.

And, to deviate a bit, any joyless motherfucker who can’t bop to Steal My Sunshine is a goddamned Pitchfork golem.

        • harrydeanlearner-av says:

I preferred it when it was called “More, More, More” which is vastly superior and way more of a dumb fun song then shitty steal my sunshine. But I do have a weakness for terrible but camp 70’s disco…

          • weirdstalkersareweird-av says:

Dude, snobbery ain’t ever a great look. It’s another layer of pecking order bullshit that humans seem to love, for some reason (because, hey, we clearly don’t have enough pecking order bullshit in waking life). All this to say: eat a steak, munch candy, get some decent veg in there, go macrobiotic (I mean, I can’t appreciate John Zorn, but who am I to judge?), whatever. Lot of “food” out there, is what I’m saying. So, in closing, stop being a damned Pitchfork Golem! 😀

          • harrydeanlearner-av says:

Snobbery is THE best. The best. It’s what separates us from Creed fans. Also cause I’m an old I never really read or know anything about Pitchfork. My choice of music criticism would be Lester Bangs, Christgau and that bunch. Now THAT’S some Grade A snobbery right there. You peons. 🙂

          • weirdstalkersareweird-av says:

Lester Bangs I mean, following the snobbery rabbithole to the point of ODing in misery definitely seems on-brand! 😀 Seriously, though, I find snobbery to be a poor medium for exposure to new ideas. Someone thinks Joker is a brilliant flick? Fine. Hand them a copy of The Jungle. Someone thinks Rush is the height of Prog rock? “Hey, they’re great, but have you heard King Crimson?” But I guess it depends on what you want from an exchange. Any snob I’ve ever met (speaking generally here, not you) has basically been an online fanboy come to life, and uses their ostensible love for and knowledge of the artform as a cudgel. It’s a way for them to amass social currency in the same manner as a classic schoolyard bully, and to no end other than ego reinforcement. Granted, not in every case. Sometimes it’s just a general resistence to new ideas.perspectives.Anyhow, thanks for the convo! 🙂

          • harrydeanlearner-av says:

“Granted, not in every case. Sometimes it’s just a general resistance to new ideas. Perspectives.”By Jove, you’ve got it! Although I think part of the thing (in all seriousness) is that it’s hard to get folks to try new music/films/books etc. There is a lowest common denominator and lets be honest, folks like their comfort foods.

    • mrdalliard123-av says:

They shouldn’t worry too much, this guy will absolve them.

    • mifrochi-av says:

I feel like if you were going to drop a band from that era as a cheap “I remember that!” punchline, Eve6 would be a top pick. I owned that album – I even remember going to the mall to buy it – and I couldn’t even name a second song on it. As obscure one hit wonders of the 90s, those guys are in a class with Marcy Playground, Our Lady Peace, and Harvey Danger. It’s holy ground.

    • bc222-av says:

No, Creed and Nickelback are at least a level or below Third Eye Blind, and a good 3-4 levels below Spin Doctors.

    • sigmasilver7-av says:

Well, there’s Theory of a Dead Man. The people who wanted TO BE Nickleback SO MUCH!

  • hankdolworth-av says:

That moment when you were thinking about starting a pun thread, only to realize the song you were thinking of was by Lit and not Eve 6.

    • brontosaurian-av says:

Are you sure it wasn’t by Gin Blossoms or Silverchair or Fastball?

      • murrychang-av says:

Where were they going without ever knowing The Way?

      • kingkongbundythewrestler-av says:

The Gin Blossoms keep ripping off the Gin Blossoms!

      • loveinthetimeofdysentery-av says:

How DARE you besmirch the good name of Silverchair by lumping them with the Gin Blossoms.Fuel or Our Lady Peace would have been more appropriate

        • smithsfamousfarm-av says:

Hey!! I still happen to like that one and only song by Fuel that ever got radio play. Somehow it still pops up on my Pandora, and makes me nostalgic for 23 year old Rogue.

          • loveinthetimeofdysentery-av says:

Wait, are we talking Shimmer (certified banger) or Hemorrhage In My Hands (no)?

          • smithsfamousfarm-av says:

Uh like Shimmer, duh bro.I’m surprised I never saw the video for that until just now. I figured it was a staple on MTV2 in the early 00’s. God knows that’s the only way I knew about the Killers or Franz Ferdinand.

        • brontosaurian-av says:

Youre right Machinehead was a really great song and so was Everything Zen and Low. Ok I did actually like Cracker, I was more of a Toadies or Filter type person. There really were a lot of alt bands back then before it all switched to boy/girl band pop.

          • murrychang-av says:

Yeah Machinehead was a legit good tune.

          • mrdalliard123-av says:

            It’s better than the rest.

          • loveinthetimeofdysentery-av says:

DED. Those are all songs by Bush, not any of the groups I listed. That’s top notch commenting on several levels of metaETA: Filter is due for a critical reappraisal a la Deftones. IMO they got unfairly lumped in with a bunch of bands they were far superior to

          • schutangclan-av says:

The Toadies are /were unremarkable doo doo. (I’ll shoooow you my DARK SECRET!!!!)

          • brontosaurian-av says:

            Incorrect

          • taumpytearrs-av says:

I still listen to my CD of Rubberneck by the Toadies. Those guitars still shred. I don’t know if you were one of the upvotes, but I linked one of their songs here a few weeks back and was happily surprised to have a few other fans respond.

        • mikolesquiz-av says:

Silverchair went on to make an album that sounds like Mellon Collie ten years later and then a pretty good alterna-chamberpop eclectic grab-bag before going on hiatus, then the singer made a Frank Ocean-y dance album before proceeding to disappear into a fug of alcoholism, tattoos, and inadvisable faux-fur coats.

      • hankdolworth-av says:

For the record, it was the lyrics to “Ziploc,” which is the Lit song that isn’t “My Own Worst Enemy.”

        • brontosaurian-av says:

Once I put on a 90’s random shuffle from a service and it was going ok nostalgia wise until Candlebox came on. Of all of these groups I think I deem them the worst.

          • hankdolworth-av says:

So what I hear you saying is that, in the ranking of 90s alt-rock artistry, Candlebox is……Far Behind?(I can make a pun thread out of this yet!)

          • brontosaurian-av says:

I need this like I need a head like a hole, Jesus Christ why don’t you come save my life…

        • nickgee-av says:

I saw Lit at Houston’s Buzzfest.. they put on a really good live show. But I was surprised at how awesome the Flies were live.

        • systemmastert-av says:

Uh I believe you’ll find that “Over My Head” from the Titan AE soundtrack is actually their song that isn’t Own Worst Enemy.  It’s a common enough mistake to make, no need to worry about it.

      • tokenaussie-av says:

Fuck you for mentioning The Chair in the same breath as those also-rans. Second best band outta Newie.

Please tell me…….please tell me whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhy?!

  • murrychang-av says:

What ever happened to these guys tho?

    • kingkongbundythewrestler-av says:

They ended up appearing in a ‘where are they now?’ segment 15 years ago on VH1. Where they’ve been since then, not even the internet knows!

    • loveinthetimeofdysentery-av says:

The lead singer of POTUSA (whose name I can’t be bothered to google) was holding it down as a very highly esteemed performer for kids in Seattle. I accidentally stumbled on an autograph signing he was doing at a doughnut shop at 8am and the line stretched down the block

      • shadowplay-av says:

Casper Babypants. My kid loved him, and honestly his children’s albums weren’t total madness for adult ears. I was shocked when I found out he was a POTUSA.

        • loveinthetimeofdysentery-av says:

This guy gets it, thanks for reminding me the guy’s name. My friends who were parents back then (and AFAIK still are) adored Casper for making kid’s music they could listen to. The original Johnny Karate!

        • underwatersandworm-av says:

Wow, that connection just blows my mind. I guess a number of bands of that era / genre have pivoted to kids music as they raise their own—Get Up Kids Matt Pryor had a band The Terrible Twos, They Might Be Giants with all their educational kids albums, etc…

        • branklilns-av says:

He even did one or two Beatles cover albums as Casper Babypants, and they’re great!

      • soylent-gr33n-av says:

He did a reworked version of “Peaches” for Bill Nye, the Science Guy!It’s mashed up with Almost Live’s Billy Quan sketch. It’s excellent:

I have a vague recollection that they got back together around the mid-00’s and did a tour that started in Anchorage. They may have been a one-bit band, but they had catchy songs for my early collage years.

    • mattk23-av says:

They own a peach factory now.  They put them in a can in a factory downtown.

    • dbradshaw314-av says:

      They might be dead.

    • samwaterson-av says:

Saw them play Alter Bar in Pittsburgh like 5 years ago. I am not kidding, top 3 live shows. It was a blast.

    • fireupabove-av says:

At some point, they formed a band called Subset with Sir Mix-A-Lot. Back in ye olde Napster days, there were a few tracks of the band floating around and they were pretty amazing (I remember three titles – “We Can’t Stop Us”, “Addicted to the Fame” and “Ribby Rib”). As far as I know, they never did anything formal though.

    • mrdalliard123-av says:

Did those guys make lots of bread? I think so. And that’s all I have to say, HOW ‘BOUT THAT?!

The thing I appreciate the most is his unwavering commitment to calling everyone “the guy from that band” rather than using their actual names. It’s a good bit.

    • ruefulcountenance-av says:

I always liked how Viz magazine would invariably refer to ‘Lemmy off of Motorhead’. I’m not sure that really translate to American English properly, but if anything that just adds to its charm.

  • bs-leblanc-av says:

“Heart in a Blender Guy” guy. Funny thing is I think I remember them more for “Here’s to the Night” because that was part of that let’s-all-be-sad-that-high-school-is-over genre around turn of the century:“Wear Sunscreen”“Graduation/Friends Forever”“Here’s to the Night”What came next? I’m sure there was something.ETA: I will admit “Heart in a Blender” is a catchier name and a great way to refer to yourself.

    • laralawlor-av says:

I like to think that Peter Jackson produced that Wear Sunscreen song even though I know it’s wrong and I’m sort of in the ballpark but not sure why.

    • buh-lurredlines-av says:

That song was my jam in elementary school!

    • south-of-heaven-av says:

As a class of 1999 graduate I can agree that those types of songs were super ubiquitous, and it wasn’t until later that I realized that it was a weird trend of that moment & didn’t just happen for every graduating class.

I dated someone who was a HUGE Third Eye Blind fan. Like, “collected bootleg recordings of concerts” Third Eye Blind fan. And apparently this is really really common! There are a lot of people who will tell you with a straight face that they follow Third Eye Blind around the country!

    • paulkinsey-av says:

I had a former coworker who was like that with Marcy Playground. Just goes to show that no matter how quickly their 15 minutes ticked by, every band is someone’s favorite band.

      • doobie1-av says:

As a general rule, if a band had two modest radio hits at any point, they can dine out on that for the rest of their lives. Maybe not as “rich” rockstars, but as long as they’re not heroin addicts or complete idiots with money, there are almost certainly enough people out there at $15-25 a pop that they can live comfortably on a tour of small venues and state fairs every other year.

        • bc222-av says:

I was in an Uber pool sometime in the last three years with a woman who, when I told her I was on my way to a concert, said she had recently seen Third Eye Blind at a winery, and how excited she was to go see it. So I asked “When in the set did they play ‘Semi-Charmed Life’ and ‘Jumper,’ and how many times did they play them?” She said “I don’t know, I left before they played either.” Now, I’m a generally polite and shy guy, but i just kind of lost it and started cursing “What the FUCK is the point of going to see Third Eye Blind if you’re not gonna hear those two songs?!” I’m still astounded by the sheer ridiculousness that someone really wanted to see that band but did NOT need to hear Semi-Charmed Life.

          • doobie1-av says:

Hell, who leaves a band they were excited to see before the set is finished if they didn’t somehow suck hard enough to ruin your enthusiasm for them? Did she get stabbed in the middle of the show?

          • gone83-av says:

I’m going to out myself as a Third Eye Blind fan by doing this, but those are the two worst songs on that album. That album is strong back to front and their best, probably thanks to their original guitarist. I think the lead singer is an undeniably talented lyricist, but he can’t sing for shit. In a just world, he would’ve been nicer and wound up teaching poetry to high school kids.

          • paulkinsey-av says:

I missed a friend’s band playing at another venue one time because the Spin Doctors came to my college and I had to wait for “Two Princes.”

          • bc222-av says:

Of COURSE you did! Who wouldn’t? And where is that friend now? Do you even still speak?
Maybe I’m biased since my first concert was literally Spin Doctors. I think.

          • paulkinsey-av says:

The friendship was not damaged. We’re still relatively close. Thankfully, I’d seen his band play live before, so it wasn’t like a one-time deal.

      • bc222-av says:

I was surprised to learn in the last few years that Nada Surf has a pretty ardent following, and basically held on to a good amount of fans despite most people only knowing the song “Popular.” But every time the tour, they play some pretty good-sized venues.

        • paulkinsey-av says:

Yeah. The album they released in 2002 got a lot of good press, so I checked it out and it is indeed good. They lost me again after that though.

        • charliebobo-av says:

I’m a massive Nada Surf fan – I think most people who are don’t really like the song “Popular” – it sounds nothing like the rest of their stuff. They’re actually a really good band, Let Go is a fantastic album, as is The Weight is a Gift. They’re nowhere as douchy or angsty as you’d think, it’s a shame they’re defined by that one song. Give them a listen 🙂

          • bc222-av says:

I was very briefly involved with a percussionist who was in a band with the drummer from Nada Surf, so they’ve always been on the periphery of my radar. Always kind of pleased that they managed to really stick around.

          • loveinthetimeofdysentery-av says:

The Weight is a Gift is like 10000000x better than you would think if you only know “Popular”

        • loveinthetimeofdysentery-av says:

I’ll actually stump for Nada Surf. They had a mini resurgence in the mid oughts based off some extremely solid albums

        • paulkinsey-av says:

I remember liking it alright at the time. Though the only one I can still sing at all at this point is “Saint Joe and the School Bus.” The rest of the tracks are just vague memories.

YES!!! This IS a thing! I found this out recently (well, in March, when I still went to a gym ..) when a guy at my gym was wearing a recent , not-1995 3EB T-shirt. I unabashedly, unironically, love that first 3EB album, and can muster kind words for their latter albums, so I got talking to him about the band. Yup, he follows them around, on tour like the Dead, visiting the state fair grounds and free-on-the-green 4:oo in the afternoon shows of this great country … there is an active, 3EB community.

Ha! Loser!!!*quietly debates with self whether Pieces of the Night or Competition Smile is the best Gin Blossoms deep cut*

    • taumpytearrs-av says:

My wife and I have basically one friend from high school we are still close with, and she has seen Hanson in concert over 15 times at this point I believe. I can’t be surprised by any band, no matter how random, having super fans because of that.

  • notochordate-av says:

Remembering the time my friend and I saw 3EB and they left during the set to toke up while the drummer sat there just laying down a beat. When they came back at least 7 minutes later, Jenkins *sounded* damn high and was like “we’re never gonna stop playing! screw the mandatory end time!”We ended on time.

    • hankwilhemscreamjr-av says:

      Sir, this is an Arby’s.

      • notochordate-av says:

well then I would like a sandwich as well please(I have never eaten at Arby’s, I hope that’s a thing)

      • ruefulcountenance-av says:

I always assumed ‘Sir, this is an Arby’s’ was a Simpsons reference I didn’t remember, until I looked it up just this minute.I was probably thinking of the similar joke ‘this really goes beyond my training as a furniture salesman’.

        • taumpytearrs-av says:

Wow, I was 100% sure I heard it from the Simpsons or something else first also. I never would have guessed it was always just a meme.

        • hankwilhemscreamjr-av says:

Haha, yeah I thought and did the exact same thing, too! I was certain it was a Simpsons reference.

  • bassplayerconvention-av says:

It’s tough not yelling at the guy through the screen to use some goddamn punctuation but aside from that, yeah, this is rather charming. And referring to everyone as “the _____ guy” is a good running bit.

  • imdahman-av says:

*sigh* I was a big fan – and still am to a degree – of 3eb. It was among what I was listening to back in the alt-rock days along with Matchbox Twenty, Eve 6 for that one song, Everclear, Pearl Jam, Oasis, etc, etc, etc

and yeah, I got word way back then due to a Matchbox Twenty spat that Stephan Jenkins was a complete knob – then the whole thing with Kevin Cadogan and then Arion going off and form Xeb…

I still love the songs but yeah… SJ is a fucking wiener.

  • psybab-av says:

This whole article and no mention of his admission that he was a virgin when he wrote the Heart in a Blender song and how that should give hope to virgins everywhere?

  • dieseldamsel-av says:

I worked as an assistant for a summer ampitheatre show with Eve 6, Sugar Ray, Uncle Kracker, and Better Than Ezra. I was probably the biggest fan of BTE going in. Eve 6 were super nice and well-behaved, getting up early to go do yoga at a friend’s studio in town. Say what you want about McGrath but he’s a class act and still hot as hell. Like movie star good-looks up close. And even though I walked him to and from stage for his set, he went out of his way to engage with the fans I was supposed to serve as a shield from. The Better Than Ezra guys were gross, hanging out on the side of the stage and talking shit about the audience, also picking out the women they wanted to bang. Killed my buzz for their music.

Chris Barron (the Spin Doctors guy) is a big-time cat lover. If you feel the need for a Twitter like from a relatively famous person, just tweet cute photos of your cat at him. He does genuinely seem like a really nice, happy dude.

    • mrdalliard123-av says:

Gotta admit it, that song is catchy. I love the episode of The Sarah Silverman Program that has that song as death metal-loving Brian’s secret vice.

      • jmyoung123-av says:

They did have multiple hits off that album, but Two Princes appears to be the one that has stood the test of time.

        • luasdublin-av says:

I will live and die on the fact that album (Pocket full of Kryptonite) is a classic .Admittedly I have a very different taste in music than the AVclub writers. Also back in 94 I had to pass up a chance to see Spin Doctors live as Crash Test Dummies were playing a smaller venue in Dublin the same night . It was like a “Monsters of Affable 90s melodic alt pop/rock” tour. Also apparently Chris Barron is a really nice guy , and actually lost his voice for a few years (that’s not a metaphor , he ended up with vocal paralysis and couldn’t talk , let alone sing) but thank fully after it happening twice! he’s doing better now.

Inside Out is a legitimately fun karaoke song.

    • aaaaaaass-av says:

Little known fact – The lyrics to Eve 6’s Inside Out were so perfect that no actual changes were made when adapting them for the big screen.

There are MANY reasons to disdain Stephan Jenkins, one of which is that he spells his name “Stephan,” but no matter how much of a tool he is, I imagine that I’d also have an outsized ego and would be unbearable to be around if I’d dated Charlize Theron in her age 23-26 years.

    • thekingorderedit2000-av says:

I’m more impressed with the swath Adam Duritz cut through the 90’s generation of female stars. Stephan Jenkins is a tool, but he is a fairly good looking guy. Adam Duritz, on the other hand, looks like something I flushed down the toilet this morning. And he was with Jennifer Aniston, among others.

      • bc222-av says:

God, I forgot about that Duritz Reign of Terror. A real unintended consequence of all the record companies handing out major label contracts to just about anyone in the 90s… a bunch of still A- and B-listers with photos of the “rock stars” they were dating. Like, Winona Ryder dated Dave Pirner for four years? Though if you’re going after dreadlocked white guys, Pirner is definitely a step up from Duritz.

        • MookieBlaylock-av says:

As I recall, Duritz dated both Aniston AND Cox. He pulled the swap, which was heretofore thought impossible.

  • jonisatyphoon-av says:

We opened for them a few years ago on one of their reunion tours. What a wild experience. The singer barely sang the words, obviously, the fans knew every single lyric, but the shows felt like a live band karaoke night with 300 people singing along.

  • preetideep1-av says:

Eve 6 is trying to fuck teenagers. that’s why he’s tweeting like this. it’s SOP for old pop punk guys
