As millions of liberal-minded Americans wrestle with the problem of what to do about Donald Trump—Protests? Articles of impeachment? The 25th Amendment? Quiet sobbing in a closet?—Hustler mastermind Larry Flynt has adopted a very straightforward and, dare we say it, Trumpian solution to the issue: Throwing money at it until it hopefully goes away.
Flynt has reportedly taken out a massive, full-page ad in this weekend’s Washington Post, a closely typed wanted poster offering $10 million to anyone willing to offer up information that might lead to the impeachment of Donald Trump. As he notes in his solicitation, this isn’t the first time Flynt has made an offer like this; he previously put $1 million on the block in 1998 and 2007 for information from people saying they’d “had an illicit sexual encounter with a member of Congress or other government official.” (Flynt claims these offers helped bring down prominent Republican representative Bob Livingston.)
Flynt says he’s upping his payout to $10 million this time, mostly because he’s worried Trump might actually kill everybody if he isn’t stopped. “Sure,” he writes—and again, it’s weirdly easy to read this in Trump’s Twitter cadence—“I could use that $10 million to buy luxuries or further my businesses, but what good would that do me in a world devastated by the most powerful moron in history?” Anyway, if you’ve been sitting on any really inflammatory material and haven’t told anyone about it—looking at you, Apprentice editors—you might want to give Larry a call; he’s apparently good for it.
