Stand-up luminary and Lady Dynamite creator-star Maria Bamford is in the Pick A Choice spirit from the first moments of her game—we can’t even say the name of the show without her cracking up. That goofiness carries through to the main game, in which Maria considers the benefits of Judge Judy’s slapdash approach to justice and the therapeutic qualities of Michael Phelps’ personality. Plus, Maria plays “Netflix Original Or Cologne?” and tries to discern the shows from the smells. (Nitpickers’ note: We used Netflix’s rather generous definition of a “Netflix Original,” which includes third-party overseas productions for which Netflix has exclusive U.S. distribution rights.)

In each round of Pick A Choice, our guest draws two cards from a deck filled with famous names (both real and fictional) and one card from a deck of scenarios. Then it’s time for the guest to decide who they’d rather pick in the given scenario. For instance, would Martin O’Malley or Final Fantasy VIII hero Squall Leonhart be a better choice to organize your office’s holiday party?
