This was a pretty huge week for casting news. Glenn Close and Henry Winkler are working on a comedy together, Zach Cregger’s Weapons added Alden Ehrenreich, Benedict Wong, and more to its already stacked cast, and Missy Elliott joined Pharrell Williams’ still-untitled coming-of-age musical. Beyond that, films continue to vie for buyers out of the Cannes market later this month.

Great news, Max Greenfield hive! The New Girl star is doing another big-screen comedy, with an absolutely stellar cast. revealed the call sheet for Let’s Have Kids! this week, and Greenfield is far from the only exciting name. The film, which marks the directorial debut for Black Adam and Due Date writer Adam Sztykiel, stars Karen Gillan and Zoë Chao as Emma and Phoebe, two lifelong friends trying to get pregnant at the same time. The film also features Sam Richardson, K.J. Apa, Ed Begley Jr., and Mary Steenburgen. [Emma Keates]
